Colby Byrd started his journey studying Architecture, Art, & Design at East Carolina University- then he began the journey that shaped his personal and professional life, studying throughout Italy under world renowned metalsmiths. After returning to the US in 2013, Colby started his own brand, Shelton Metal, offering custom & ready to wear jewelry. While still heavily inspired by travel, much of Shelton Metal designs are inspired by the depths of the sea yet mixed with nostalgic moments of growing up on the coast. Treasures that hold integrity, stories, and meaning to be passed on for generations. Using recycled or sustainably sourced metals, each piece is raw, organic, and handmade.
